The screen is a 17" hi-res 1920 x 1200 panel - so it can play back HD at full resolution. It is capable of editing both standard definition and high definition. We use only 7200RPM hard drives to improve the performance. The laptop also has an express card slot so it can read Sony SxS cards and have external eSATA hard drives added easily. You can choose either Windows Vista or Windows XP as your operating system. Although Vista is listed below, we can install XP instead for the same price. We recomend using Windows Vista Business for the laptop unless your editing program does not support it. There are many laptops available, some with lower prices, but none with this kind of power!
