DVD and Blu-ray Writing - Adobe Encore and Sony DVD Architect plus low cost Blu-ray printable discs

Our favourite DVD and Blu-ray writing software which has now reached version 4.  Encore can do nearly everything you want on a DVD and Blu-ray disc including subtitles, different audio tracks and slideshows.

Encore integrates exceptionally well with Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects through the dynamic link - which saves huge amounts of time when authoring DVDs. 

Available either in a bundle with Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 or the Adobe Production Studio.

Sony DVD Architect is a very fully featured program which does everything you need when DVD authoring as well as Blu-ray authoring. It includes several features such as scripting and buttons over video that are not available in Adobe Encore.   Everything is freely configurable, although Encore is arguably more intuitive.

Available only with Sony's high quality editing program, Vegas.

Sonic DVDit Pro HD is also available under the name AVID DVD. Avid DVD is included with Avid Media Composer and the latter also can export chapter markers from the timeline to Avid DVD.

Compared to Adobe Encore and Sony DVD Architect, DVDit Pro HD has slightly fewer features but is still a cabable DVD and Blu-ray authoring program.

Canopus ProCoder 3 is one of the most comprehensive encoding packages available and now supports new H264 formats and Dolby Digital.
