Our favourite DVD and Blu-ray writing software which has now reached version 5. Encore can do nearly everything you want on a DVD and Blu-ray disc including subtitles, different audio tracks and slideshows. Encore integrates exceptionally well with Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects through the dynamic link - which saves huge amounts of time when authoring DVDs. Available either in a bundle with Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 or the Adobe Production Studio. A DVC-made tutorial on using Encore is also available here. |

Sony DVD Architect is a very fully featured program which does everything you need when DVD authoring as well as Blu-ray authoring. It includes several features such as scripting and buttons over video that are not available in Adobe Encore. Everything is freely configurable, although Encore is arguably more intuitive. Available only with Sony's high quality editing program, Vegas. |
