ADVC55

TheADVC55 is a small compact analogue to digital converter.  It only does one way - analogue in - DV out - so it is best used for taking your analogue footage and recording it into a DV based system.

It can be powered by a 6 pin FireWire port and therefore does not need a separate mains supply. If using with a laptop please check that your laptop has a powered FireWire port as many do not.

For systems without powered firewire connections, a mains adaptor is available separately for £26 +VAT.

ADVC®55 is a compact, easy-to-use device that’s ideal for connecting VHS, Hi8 and other analogue video equipment to a DV camera, deck, laptop or desktop PC. Automatic input signal detection and convenient front/back connectors ensure easy setup and operation. There are no drivers to install and ADVC55 does not require a power supply when used with a 6-pin DV cable.
